Excellent food, spectacular beer selection. I HIGHLY recommend their wings. They have a bunch of great sauce or rub options that are fears to beat. On that note, Monday's are wing night. The salad bar is also terrific, and a great option for dinner.
Wings were pretty good. A/C wasn't working, and the whole self service idea baffled me. Order at the counter and a runner brings your food out, but that's it. If you want a beer you gotta go stand in line, then you have to clear your own table too. Yet they still have a tip line on the receipt! Seriously, I mean what did they do to earn tips.
Only downside is that it can be louder than I personally care for when they have live music or are packed and busy, but that just depends on your noise tolerance.
The salad bar and wings are the best in the area. As for the BBQ the only reason people like this place is because they have never had BBQ at a place that actually knows what they are doing. I really wish this place was as good as people are rating it but it's not. I tried a new sandwich today and what ever animal it was made from must have been dead for weeks. Maybe not that bad but it was not good
I arrived on a Sat night. The menu has lots of choices from 1/4 racks of ribs to chicken, brisket and butt ends. they also have some gluten free options. The beer selection is broad with multiple micro brews (I opted for the Drop-in Brewery scotch ale and was not disappointed). seating is a bit like Oktoberfest so be prepared to share your space if you have extra seats. Service was a bit on the slow side, but that could be due to the full house. I ordered 1/4 rack and brisket. As with many popular BBQ places things run out. they were out of brisket and subbed burnt ends. They were amazing! The ribs were good, but I preferred the burnt ends. I would go back.
Big Fatty's is a fantastic place to go after work for a couple beers and some BBQ - we even have a couple vegetarians who are willing to go and eat the non-meat entrees so it's not exclusive. I'm not a big IPA person so that can be tough - something like 80% of the taps are IPAs on average I would say but there is always something good. The rotating taps are awesome and the crowler pit next door is a good place to stop on the way out
